What are fertilizers?
Fertilizers are a substance that contain a type of plant nutrients that are added to a environment usually to help a plant grow. [1]
Fertilizer helps plants and crops to grow and is mostly used on farms and if it gets into water its chemicals can kill the ecosystem. [2]
Farmers use natural fertilizers to enrich the soil, including plant leaves and stalks, remaining after harvest, and animals wastes. [3]
As fertile land became harder to find (due to population growth), farmers learned to substitute energy in the form of chemical fertilizer for land. [3]
Plants, like animals need nutrients to grow. usually they get these nutrients from the soil. when the plants are not getting enough of the nutrients they need People use FERTILIZERS. Fertilizers are used to give the plant more of the nutrients it needs or extra nutrients, depending on the kind of plant. [3]
Different fertilizers are used for different plants. Sometimes farmers and other people who may need to use fertilizer even hire people to nurish their
plants. [3]
