Producers are plants that make there own food by a process called photosynthesis.[1]

WHAT DOES A PRODUCER DO FOR US?

In the food chain there are producers. The Producers are at the beginning of the food chain. An organism eats the producer then another organism eats that organism, and so on. Without the producer the food chain is totally off balance. No living organism that needs food would exist.[4]
