What is dissolved oxygen?
Dissolved oxygen is the amount of oxygen in the water. [1] The oxygen avilable in the water is little microscopic bubbles of air.[1] What often causes low dissolved oxygen levels many plants in the water that are dieing which cause many bacteria to eat them which take most of the dissolved oxygen that aquatic life need to survive. [2]
Dissolved oxygen analysis measures there amount of gaseous oxygen (O2) dissolved in an aqueous solution. Dissolved oxygen in the water bydiffusion from the surrounding air, by aeration,(which is rapid movement), and as a waste of photosynthesis.[1] Dissolved Oxygen is bubbles of oxygen that are mixed in the water and occur between water molecules.[1]
Belive it or not, fish need air to live. Dissolved oxygen is the main resource other than water. When sediment builds up, it doesn't allow enough oxygen to stay in the water. This is one reason the fish may be dying off.[7]
When doing a dissolved oxygen test, grap a sample then immediately so you should do the test on site.[8]
Dissolved oxygen is harmful to fish if it is above 110%.[8]
Dissolved oxgyen is really necssary. It is necssary for everything living in a steam becuase many of the living factors in water need it, fish use it to breath.[8]
Dissolve Oxygen is good if it is a certain amount in the water it can keep fish and creatures and plants alive.[10]
Dissolved Oxygen is checked by the Waste Management Treatment so wastewater can be cleaned out of the rivers.[11]
