Letter sent from Anton Alogue:

Dear U.S. Forest Service Representative,

We would like to request that you designate the selective-cut logging are near the Rafta River as "salvage." We have already clear cut a near by area with no harm to the environment. We think this site deserves reclassification.

Final Statement

Hey, I just do my job. I'm not the one who decides where or how we log. I need to earn a living, and logging is the only work I know. Don't take my job away, just to save some fish. Besides, the Rafta River doesn't even have a sediment problem, so we're not responsible for this fish kill.

Clear cutting the forest would make massive erosion.
The tree roots keep the soil/sediments in place so they don't run into the rivers.
